WhatsApp Communities is a powerful new feature that allows users to organize and consolidate groups in a single space.


What is WhatsApp Communities? How is it useful?

  • Communities bring together separate groups within an organization, making it easier to manage communication. Whether you are part of a large company, a community group, or a project team, Communities streamline interactions.
  • Community admins can send important updates to everyone in every group. This ensures that critical information reaches all relevant members promptly.
  • Members can participate in focused discussions on specific topics. Whether it’s work-related matters or shared interests, Communities facilitate meaningful conversations.


How to create a WhatsApp Community?

  1. Open WhatsApp and go to the “Communities” tab.
  2. Tap “New community” and then “Get started.”
  3. Enter a community name (up to 100 characters) and add a description to give members an idea of what the community is about.
  4. You can also add a community icon by choosing from your camera, gallery, emojis, or web search.
  5. Once set, the icon will appear next to the community in the Chats tab.
  6. Tap the check mark to create the community.
  7. Remember that you can have up to 2,000 members in new and existing communities. Happy connecting!
